Put Your Money Where Your Potty Mouth Is

Is it us or do kids today all have potty mouths? We mean when we were kids, we used to come home from school and greet our mother with a nice warm, “Hi Mom. How are you?”

Gina’s daughter Katie, in contrast, comes home from school and greets her mother and  sister with the greeting, “Hey bitches, what’s up?”

Patty’s daughter Jules is the same way, although in the eyes of the law, she’s no kid (we beg to differ).

“Jules, what’s wrong?”

“I don’t know, Mom. I just feel like as%!”

When  we came across this article about how one school has implemented fines for swearing students, we couldn’t help but smile. The money raised could fund a school district alone. And maybe kids will finally learn their lesson cause swearing is a bad habit that’s easy to pick up.

So go ahead school districts, fine away! Sounds like a bitchin’ idea to us. (Oops.)

They all have “potty mouths”! The other day when I told my 4 year old PDD-NOS child to FOCUS, she replied with F*#% you, do you know how hard that is not to laugh? We waited for over 3 years for her to even make since through her mumbles and now she has the “F” bomb, Sh#t, and A$$ as number one in her vocabulary! Not to mention, I love you mommy!

I must admit I never even said “Shut up” or “Crap” around my parents but now…I use language that I shouldnt around my kids. It must be her fault. If my mom let me drop an F bomb here and there maybe I woulnt feel so compelled to do it now. It’s always mom’s fault.Right?

I swear that my Tourette’s son doesn’t “do the swearing thing” because cursing is our second language around the house.
I figure it’s better to walk in your own home and let out a “hey bitches”, than to walk in to a classroom and make the same remark.
We recently discovered the Cee Lo Green’s F-You video – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc0mxOXbWIU but we are particularly fond of the sign language version of the same song – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ayloXq_w9Y

It is ALL MY FAULT that my kids have potty mouths! I never so much as mumbled SHUT UP to my kids until the past 2 yrs. About the time my youngest turned 1. I lost my patience, my temper and my mind. Now I am forever catching them swearing. Lilly has even gotten creative with it “FUDGE YOU”! “ARSE”! “GAMMIT”! “SHISTER”! As if these are better! I try and if they get busted at school, well then, they will have learned their lesson. LOL

My parents loved the “Hot Sauce and Soap” to get your attention when you said something wrong…..I couldn’t imagine doing this to my children in any way…
